Wie bereits erläutert ist John Galliano vorläufig (das kleine Wörtchen habe ich nämlich im letzten Post vergessen) suspendiert. Hier seht ihr ein äußert aufklärendes, aufdeckendes und erschreckendes Video, dass einen scheinbar betrunkenen John Galliano zeigt der auf eine Weise ausfällt, die einfach nicht geht!

Vorallem nicht, wenn man wie er mit dem Privileg gesegnet ist für Dior arbeiten zu dürfen.

Für die unter euch, die das Genuschel nicht direkt verstehen : “I love Hitler,” [...] “People like you would be dead. Your mothers, your forefathers, would all be f**king gassed.” so seine Worte.

Schade um dich John, ich fand deine Arbeit für Dior immer gut!

As I already told you John Galliano is temporary suspended. Here you see a shocking video that lets me understand why all this trouble is happening to him. John Galliano, who seems drunk says : “I love Hitler,” [...] “People like you would be dead. Your mothers, your forefathers, would all be f**king gassed.” ! Something that can and should not be accepted.

CAMERA ADVICE

Ich möchte mir ziemlich bald eine neue Kamera kaufen. Eine Spiegelreflex die nach Möglichkeit auch HD Videos macht, das ist jedoch kein MUSS. Jetzt brauche ich euch weil ich mich mit sowas ungefähr nicht auskenne. Welche Marke, welches Modell und wie teuer sind die jeweils vorgeschlagenen Kameras?

I want to buy a new camera as soon as possible so I need your advice. Would be great if it also could take HD Videos but it's not a must. Maybe you can tell me some brands, models and the price of the ones you would suggest.

Die News der Woche habe ich gerade auf Vogue.de gelesen. John Galliano wurde bei Dior rausgeworfen, weil er sich antisemitisch und rassistisch geäußert habe.

So sagt Sidney Toledano, der Dior President und Chief Executive Officer von Christian Dior : 

"Das Modehaus hat eine Politik der Null-Toleranz gegenüber Rassismus und Antisemitismus".

Hartes Urteil, da diese Beleidigungen bei einer Auseinandersetzung in einem pariser Café also außerhalb des Jobs gefallen sein sollen. Was sagt ihr dazu? Ist es richtig ihn dafür zu entlassen oder nicht?

Breaking News : John Galliano is no longer designing for Dior. He got kicked out because of a fight he had in a Café in Paris. In that fight he mentioned racist insults. That was the reason Dior President and Chief Executive Officer of Dior Sidney Toledano fired him.

BLOCK BLOCK COLOR BLOCK

Öfters wurde ich in letzter Zeit nach meinem Lieblingstrend für den Sommer befragt.

Einer davon ist definitiv Color Blocking. Das antwortete ich auch immer brav in den Facebookmails, bei Twitter und sonstwo. 'Was ist Color Blocking?' Bekam ich dann zurückgefragt und deshalb widme ich dem meiner Meinung nach schönsten Trend für warme Tage heute mal einen eigenen Post.

Color Blocking ist zwar keine Neuerfindung, vorallem in den 70ern und 80ern kam der Trend in eine starke Phase. Trotzdem wird er neu definiert. Durch Asymetrik, noch stärkere Kontraste und verschiedene Stoffkombinationen. Oben habe ich eine kleine Collage zusammengebastelt. Alle Bilder und Stücke auf der Collage gibt es bei LUISAVIAROMA.COM ! Color Blocking zu beschreiben ist garnicht so einfach. Prinzipiell kombiniert man dabei mehrere Teile, deren Farben Kontraste bilden.

Mehr als 3 Farben zu kombinieren wird jedoch recht schwer weil es sonst wirkt, als wäre man in den Farbkasten gefallen. Wem das alles zu bunt wird, trägt weiße Schuhe oder eine weiße Bluse dazu.

Was sagt ihr zum Color Blocking? Go oder No-Go?

I got a few questions regarding my favourite trend for the upcoming seasons. One of them is definitely Color Blocking! Color Blocking had a big time during the 70's and 80's, most of all for the summer seasons! I created a little collage on the top of the post that shows you some pieces that can be combined to create a look in the Color Blocking style. All pictures and pieces are available at LUISAVIAROMA.COM ! A little piece of advice from me : don't combine more than 3 colors because then it is pretty hard not to think you fell into a color box! If the colors are too much for you just combine them with a pair of white shoes or a white blouse! What do you say to the trend? Go or No-Go?

Jajaja wir wissen es alle. Es ist Valentinstag. Und deshalb hier eine zarte Erinnerung von Agent Provocateur und Rosie diesen Tag nicht zu vergessen.

Ich habe gerade erst einmal 5 (!) Stunden Mittagsschlaf gehalten und ein bisschen in Onlineshops gesurft um meiner wahren Liebe einen Post zu widmen. SCHUHEN! Hätte ich die freie Wahl bei Luisaviaroma würde ich wohl auf diese 3 Paar zurückgreifen. Giacomorelli, Jil Sander, Kris van Assche..möchtet ihr meine Valentinstagsdates sein?

Yes, we know it all. It's Valentine's Day. Agent Provocateur and Rosie have a little special to ''teach you not to forget Valentine's Day ever again''.

I just took a nap of 5 (!) hours and checked out some Onlineshops to show you my true love. SHOES! If I could pick 3 pairs of shoes at Luisaviaroma I would ask Giacomorelli, Jil Sander and Kris Van Assche if they want to be my Valentines!

CHEAP MONDAY - WHAT COMES WHAT GOES ?

Während der Fashionweek habe ich neben Shows und anderen Events auch den Cheap Monday Stand auf der Bread & Butter besucht. Hierbei habe ich ein paar Impressionen eingefangen die zeigen, was in der nächsten Herbst/Winter Kollektion neu kommt und vielleicht sogar bleibt. Besonderes Highlight ist die Jeans mit Universeprint. Was sagt ihr? Irgendwie möchte ich die gerne ziemlich schnell haben!

During Fashionweek I also visited the Cheap Monday stand at Bread & Butter. What do you think about the upcoming fall winter collection? Some things are new, such as the amazing denim with universeprint. I want to have that one as soon as possible!

Vor ein paar Wochen fragte mich ASOS ob ich mir eine Kooperation vorstellen könnte. Also suchte ich mir den Pulli, die Hose und die Schuhe aus und bekam diese um sie in einem Shooting vorzustellen. Auf meiner Facebookseite konntet ihr Gutscheine von ASOS gewinnen indem ihr mir eure Titelvorschläge für den Look genannt habt. Die Gewinnertitel waren ''Casual Gentleman'' und ''Greys And Blues - Ain't No Better Hues''.

A few weeks ago ASOS asked me to cooperate with them and of course I could not resist. GERMAN FASHION DESIGN AWARD DÜSSELDORF

Wie ihr warscheinlich schon mitbekommen habt, war ich mit einigen anderen Bloggern in Düsseldorf zum German Fashion Design Award eingeladen. Ehrlich gesagt haben mich manche Designer sehr positiv überzeugt. Natürlich waren teilweise untragbare und auch künstlerisch nicht allzu wertvolle Sachen dabei, aber dafür, dass alle Designer noch in der Ausbildung steckten fand ich das ein oder andere Teil wirklich nicht schlecht. Hier habt ihr ein paar erste Eindrücke. Mehr gibt es in den nächsten Tagen. 

As you might allready know, I was invited with some other fellow bloggers to the German Fashion Design Award in Düsseldorf. For being honest, some of the designers really did a great job. Ok, we also saw some terrible, unwearable and not pretty artful pieces, but some did a great job for still being students. Here you have a kind of sneek peak into the German Fashion Design Award. OFF TO DÜSSELDORF

BODYSHOP EVENT - BRUSH WITH FASHION - BERLIN BABY

Wenn ihr meine Facebookseite verfolgt wisst ihr vielleicht schon, dass ich am Wochenende für ziemlich genau 8 Stunden nach Berlin geflogen bin. Das ganze war ein Bloggerevent, das von The Body Shop organisiert wurde. Präsentiert wurden in einer kleinen Villa die neuen Produkte und Key Looks von The Body Shop. Natürlich war ich nicht der einzige Blogger. Ich durfte weitere Blogger einladen und habe mich für Dustin, Tim, Oliver, Josephine, Mai, Aylin, Tissi, Helen und einige andere entschieden. Mein Flug war etwas turbulent. Vorallem der Flug zurück nach Düsseldorf hat mir etwas bedenken bereitet, haha! Danke noch einmal an das tolle Team von The Body Shop. Vorallem an Stephi und Karim, der mir meine Augenschatten genommen hat (zumindest für einige Stunden haha)!

If you follow my facebookpage you might know, that I spent 8 hours of my weekend in Berlin. Why? The Body Shop invited me over and booked a flight for me because there was a certain event where the new products and key looks were presented. Of course I wasn't the only blogger. In the german part of this post I linked the other lovely guys who I invited as well, because I did take care of the guest list. 12 Bloggers in a small villa, had a lovely day! Thanks again to the lovely team of The Body Shop, most of all to Stephi and Karim, who helped me get rid of my eye-shadows. At least for some hours,haha!
